If you need to add additional line support to a Cisco IP phone, there are several add-on “attendant console” modules to choose from which can be used for additional line appearance call control. Choosing the correct expansion module for your application depends upon the model of Cisco IP phone you are working with, and the number of additional lines you need to support.
Cisco provides three distinct expansion module models:
The Cisco CP-7914 adds 14 line buttons per console to a standard Cisco IP Phone (You can add up to (2) 7914 expansion modules, for a total of 28 additional lines) . The Cisco CP-7914 is compatible with any of the following Cisco phone models:
- Cisco CP-7960G
- Cisco CP-7961G
- Cisco CP-7970G
- Cisco CP-7971G-GE
If adding a single Cisco CP-7914 expansion module to any of the Cisco IP Phones above, you’ll also need to purchase a few accessories….a Cisco CP-SINGLFOOTSTAND bracket as well as a Cisco Power Cube. If adding two Cisco CP-7914 expansion modules, you’ll need to opt for the CP-DOUBLFOOTSTAND which will accomodate (2) CP-7914’s.
The Cisco CP-7915 adds 12 line buttons per console to a standard Cisco IP Phone (You can add (2) console modules for a total additional 24 lines). The Cisco CP-7915 is compatible with any of the following Cisco phone models:
- Cisco CP-7962G
- Cisco CP-7965G
- Cisco CP-7975G
If adding a single Cisco CP-7915 expansion module to any of the above Cisco IP Phones, you’ll also need to purchase a few accessories….a Cisco CP-SINGLFOOTSTAND bracket as well as a Cisco Power Cube. If adding two Cisco CP-7915 expansion modules, you’ll need to opt for the CP-DOUBLFOOTSTAND which will accomodate (2) CP-7915’s.
The Cisco CP-7916 features a color LCD display, and adds 12 line buttons per console to a standard Cisco IP Phone (You can add (2) console modules for a total additional 24 lines). The Cisco CP-7916 is compatible with any of the following Cisco phone models:
- Cisco CP-7962G
- Cisco CP-7965G
- Cisco CP-7975G
If adding a single Cisco CP-7916 expansion module to any of the above Cisco IP Phones, you’ll also need to purchase a few accessories….a Cisco CP-SINGLFOOTSTAND bracket as well as a Cisco Power Cube.
